  • Our rigorous traceability program allows us to know the origins of our ingredients, and we visit select suppliers and farmers annually to ensure a direct connection.

ORGANIC: Nurtured by Nature

We are committed to using ingredients that are as good for the earth as they are for your skin. That’s why we prioritize organic, transitional, and certified-sustainable sources.

  • To date, 96 percent of our ingredients are certified organic, a testament to our dedication to natural, sustainable practices.
  • Our journey is ongoing. We strive to increase our use of organic and certified-sustainable ingredients each and every year.

RESTORE: Rebuilding for the Future

We embrace practices that heal the planet, conserve precious natural resources, and protect biodiversity. Our commitment extends beyond sourcing to every area of our business.

  • Our key facilities, from our headquarters to our distribution centers, are working towards zero waste with a goal of 90 percent waste diversion from landfills by 2023.
  • We are taking responsibility for our impact. By reducing our carbon emissions and offsetting the remainder through climate-neutral business operations, we are taking meaningful steps for the earth.
  • We actively choose to source organic ingredients, championing agricultural practices that support soil health and carbon sequestration.
  • Our product designers are encouraged to integrate restorative agricultural principles, such as crop diversity and rotations, when creating our products.

ETHICAL: Guided by Integrity

We are dedicated to sourcing ingredients in a way that honors fair labor practices. We believe in the dignity of work, ensuring that the people behind our products are treated with respect.

  • Our relationships are built on open communication. For SNOAP, it all begins with getting to know our suppliers through a two-way dialogue.
    • All of our suppliers go through an extensive screening process for quality ingredient selection.
  • We believe in being transparent about our values and goals. That’s why we have created a comprehensive supplier code of conduct.
    • Our code of conduct, inspired by select International Labor Organization (ILO) conventions, covers a full range of ethical trading issues focused on labor rights, ensuring a safe environment, the right to organize, freedom to leave premises, and the absence of forced labor, slavery, human trafficking and discrimination in the workplace, among many others.
    • We are always striving for better, and regularly update our code of conduct to reflect an evolving understanding of supply chain issues.
  • We regularly check in with our suppliers to make sure we are on the right track, and address any issues to ensure we are moving together towards our mutual goals.
    • We complete yearly third-party social compliance announced audits at select suppliers.
    • Meeting our supplier code of conduct, along with all applicable laws, codes and regulations, is an expectation of working with SNOAP. While SNOAP has the right to terminate a contract if a violation is ever found, we prefer to work with suppliers to improve working conditions and implement corrective actions.

Responsible sourcing training is a requirement for our leadership, supply chain team members and our social responsibility team.

Through verification, audits, compliance certifications, and training, SNOAP is committed to continuous improvement when it comes to our social responsible sourcing practices.
